Barrel tasting is a milestone in any wine lovers’ journey
True wine experts taste wine straight out of the barrel giving insights into what others will be drinking in a few years. Learning on the day how the wine is made changes with every vintage and every barrel is a unique experience for you to taste. Question the elements like the weather during grape picking, how long the skins stayed on and if its natural or added yeast fermentation. Different plots and clones between generations will also make differences in the palate along with bought in fruit.
Your first tasting experience begins at 10.30am
Where you will be guided into an exclusive personal Barrel Tasting experience for Masterclass and learn for 1.5 – 2 hours from a winemaker, while tasting wines direct from the barrels in a matured state throughout the time allocated for your private experience.
Your next location as you arrive at the Celebrity Chef Teage Ezard Restaurant, Ezard at Levantine Hill.
Your next Masterclass experience is complete with tasting wine produced from the low yielding vines bursting intense flavours and highly rated and awarded as being recognised the best in Australia. This experience travels to some of Victoria’s famous wineries in the Yarra Valley.  You will be collected from Melbourne CBD.

When choosing your date, discuss a meeting point with the experience provider. Areas other than the CBD can be arranged for you pick up, but may incur an extra cost and alter the schedule due to travelling times.
